The Climate Smart Initiative (CSI) aimed to enhance the resilience of 1.18 million chronically food insecure people by systematically integrating climate change implications into the planning and implementation of the Government of Ethiopia’s Productive Safety Net Program (PSNP) and Household Asset Building Program (HABP).

In collaboration with Itad, ResilienceMonitor lead the development and implementation of the participatory and learning component of the M&E framework. This included a 2-year M&E strategy, system and training to the MEL team in order to support participatory data collection, evidence generation and learning about the integration of climate adaptation activities into the national safety net programme. ResilienceMonitor also lead the climate resilience component of the in-country mid-term and final evaluation in Ethiopia.
